ADP Digital Design System
Minneapolis-based agency, Schermer pulled me in to help design ADP's primary consumer facing site. I worked as a part of the Schermer's team to design a site concept and utlimately deliver a component-based, digital design system.
Over the coarse of 3 months, I worked with Schermer's creative director and team to deliver over 25+ components, global styles and elements to ADP's internal technology/development team.

Challenge
The agency had minimal access to the technology and development team. Consequently, documentation was critical throughout the delivery of all assets.
Solution
We paired Sketch with Invision to provide the client with a simple platform for feedback and approvals. After approval, Invision's "Inspect" tool provided the development team with design-to-development specs for each component.
The grid, type styles, color and components were seperated out onto versioned artboards. Each artboard contained detailed information regarding it's rules, variations and responsive behaviors across all device breakpoints.
I hired Brian as a Sr. UI Designer on an enterprise level website redesign project at SCHERMER, but what he contributed to the team was infinitely more. It was no surprise that Brian excelled in the defined UI design role — providing thoughtful and beautiful design solutions. But, what equally impacted the project, our team, and our client was the expertise Brian provided in user experience, strategy, team leadership, and technical guidance and proficiency. This saved us time ($$$) from hiring and onboarding resources in these additional disciplines, relieved additional stress from multiple team members, armed us with the ability to tackle more project tasks at once, and ultimately provide added value to our client.
